- How to apply for your Illinois Concealed Carry License, start to finish
Curriculum
Part one resembles an NRA Basic Pistol course. Part two covers statutory law (Illinois Concealed Carry Act, FOID Act and the Gun Control Act of 1968), relevant case law and scenario based discussion. Part three is range qualification. The order of topics is dynamic and may shift to follow student questions.
A FOID card is not required to attend, but you will need one before you apply for your license. Firearm Mentor can provide a firearm and ammunition, or you may bring and qualify with your own.
Before you register
Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Class fees are non-refundable: if you are denied a permit by the state, miss class, or do not complete the training, refunds are not given.
If you cannot make the regularly scheduled range time there is an additional $30 charge, or you may qualify in a following month at no additional charge.
This is a multi-day event
